A new flavor combo
Saputo USA introduces Montchevre Cold Brew & Donuts Goat Cheese,
a first-of-its-kind flavor and the only cold brew-inspired goat cheese
on the market. The flavor combination takes sweet and creamy to a
new level perfect for desserts and brunch occasions. This new offerings
comes on the heels of Montchevre's collaboration with Mike's Hot
Honey to produce Montchevre x Mike's Hot Honey goat cheese log. The
brand plans to continue to churn out innovations to meet consumers'
evolving flavor needs.
Another new offering from Saputo USA is Treasure Cave Mild Blue
Cheese. This creamier, more mellow take on blue cheese is intended to
ease consumers' entry into a historically polarizing cheese category. It
comes in wedges and tubs of crumbles
Authentic gouda
FrieslandCampina now offers A Dutch Masterpiece Rembrandt
12-Month PDO. This gouda is made using milk from North Holland and
stamped with PDO (Protected Designation of Origin). This ensures the
cheese is crafted with the traditional quality and characteristics of its
geographical region. Rembrandt is aged 12 months, featuring a smooth,
bold flavor with caramel notes and crystallization.
Cheese holiday boxes
New York City's Murray's Cheese Shop offered 12 Days of Murray's
Cheese and Pairings this holiday season. The specialty retailer made
the gift box available through its store and website for $79. It could also
be found at select Kroger brands across the country for $19.99 in the
days leading up to Christmas Day. The box contained tasting packs of
nine cheeses: 12 Month Aged Gouda, Manchego, Mimolette, Murray's
English Cheddar, Murray's Irish Cheddar, Parmigiano Reggiano, Rustic
Red Cheddar, Truffle Cheddar and Wensleydale with Cranberries. It
also contained 1.5-oz jars of apple butter, spiced cherry preserves,
strawberry rhubarb preserves and wild blueberry preserves, along with
a few packs of oat biscuits.
Coffee-inspired wedges
Private-label retailer Aldi USA is known for offering limited-edition,
out-of-the-norm flavors of cheese. One of the company's most recent
offerings is ALDI Emporium Selection #ButFirst Coffee cheese. The
4-oz wedges are cheddar cheese rubbed with espresso and lavender.
Protein snack packs
Family-owned Cheesewich has a new protein-packed snack pack. Each
1.5-oz single-serve pack contains a pork and beef meat stick with one
of three cheese varieties. Options are: Cheddar, Colby Jack and Pepper
Jack. The snacks come in shelf-ready displays.
