Yogurt Licuado
The new Yogurt Licuado line from Danone North America, White
Plains, NY, comes in four flavors inspired by traditional Mexican recipes.
Three of them - mango coconut, strawberry cinnamon and strawberry
banana honey - include oat bran, while the fourth - banana - is
made with the grain amaranth. Containing live and active cultures,
each 7-oz bottle provides 110 to 120 calories, 6 grams of protein and
6 grams of fiber and is positioned as an on-the-go snack. Lactase is
added to render the beverage lactose-free.
Desi Natural Dahi
With new lassi and yogurt drinks, Raymundo's Food Group, Bedford
Park, Ill., is growing its Desi Natural Dahi (Indian-style yogurt) brand.
Using only natural ingredients - Grade A milk, fruit, spices and yogurt
- the new products are vegetarian and free from gelatin, gluten and
artificial preservatives. The lassi comes in strawberry and alphonso
mango flavors, with the latter sourced directly from India. The yogurt
drink lineup includes masala chaas, mint and original salted flavors.
Cold & Crafted ready-to-drink coffee
Cold & Crafted is the most recent ready-to-drink coffee innovation
from Seattle-based Starbucks. It was developed to appeal to
consumers who have never had such a product. Starbucks conducted
research to better understand what these customers are seeking and
learned these coffee drinkers want a smooth, flavorful coffee with no
preservatives, lower sugar and calories than other options on shelves
to better understand what these customers are seeking. To deliver
on these preferences, the company starts with cold-brew coffee. Two
varieties - mocha and vanilla - contain a splash of milk. There's also a
sweetened black offering.
Swirled chocolate milk
Shamrock Farms, Phoenix, now offers Swirled, an elevated chocolate
milk that blends creamy dairy and natural, plant-based ingredients.
The indulgent hybrid offers the best of both worlds with chocolate
milk and the reduced sugar and healthy fats found in coconut cream
and almonds. Available in two flavors - chocolate almond coconut and
chocolate coconut - Swirled uses milk from Shamrock Farms' family
of local farms. It comes in single-serve 12-oz bottles and multi-serve
quart bottles.
Kefir + Coffee
In the United Kingdom, Biotiful Dairy now offers Kefir + Coffee
in mocha and latte flavors. The barista-style beverages are made
with British cultured milk and cold-brewed arabica coffee. Each
250-milliliter bottle contains 30 billion live cultures and vitamin B12 to
help support immunity.
