Future ready
Lately, it seems like there are only two letters that matter in
the alphabet: A and I.
Conversations around artificial intelligence (AI) are
happening in every corner of the food and beverage industry,
including dairy.
At the Institute of Food Technologists' annual IFT First
show in Chicago in July, talk about the role AI is already
playing in the food and beverage space, and how it will
continue to change the landscape, was nothing short of
mind-blowing.
Most experts know that there is a steep learning curve
when it comes to figuring out how AI can be implemented
into exisiting businesses models, and without good data, it
will be hard to make it work.
However, the message from those in the know was clear:
get on board or risk being left behind.
In this issue, in addition to the comprehensive product
category breakdowns, I encourage you to dive into our
feature on the rise of AI in dairy. Enhanced predictive
maintenance, supply chain optimization and energy
management as a result of AI are already proving to be gamechangers
for dairy processors.
