SCHREIBER FOODS HONORED
AT IDFA DAIRY FORUM
Schreiber Foods Inc., was recognized as the IDFA
Workplace of the Year on Jan. 24 at the Dairy Forum in
Phoenix.
The award was presented to Schreiber by Kristen Putch,
managing editor of Dairy Processing.
" Of all of the impressive award submissions, Schreiber
Foods was the clear winner, with a proven commitment to
be a leader in the area of DEI, a lighthouse within the dairy
industry, " Putch said. " This award elevates a company
that thrives in creating a positive work environment and
setting a standard for the industry to follow. "
Dave Coble, senior vice president of human
resource systems and strategy, and Jenene Calloway,
vice president of talent management and chief
diversity officer, accepted the award on behalf
of the company.
" Since the founding of our organization,
our employees have been core to who
we are and, quite frankly, our business
sucess, " Colloway said when accepting
the award. " We've been on this journey to
really understand how we can truly take
care of our workforce with the changes that
we're experiencing in the workforce. This has
truly been a journey, and our diversity, equity
and inclusion efforts have really given us a lens to
understand how to navigate that journey. "
Coble acknowledged the role that Schreiber Foods'
plays
chief executive officer
in
the success
of
company's efforts.
" It's hard work to create a workplace that people want
to come to and they feel rewarded, " said Coble. " Our CEO
Ron Dunford sets that example. The energy and the noncompromising
approach that he takes in the way we train
our people ... it's inspiring. "
This is the first year for the IDFA Workplace of the Year
award. A call for nominations for the 2025 award will be
released this summer.

" As this relates to ethnic minorities,
we put together a multicultural
leadership development program and we
curated the content to be specific to the
experiences of individuals who identified
as an ethnic minority, " she said. " What
makes this program unique is that both
the partner and leader go through the
developmental journey together to ensure
that the content could be leveraged by
the partner and supported by the leader
in ways that align with ethnic minorities'
experiences. "
BUILDING LEADERS
Calloway said Dunford truly believes
that an organization grows by
developing the knowledge and skills of
its employees.
" Ron has doubled down on partner
and leader development, " she said.
" He has been heavily involved with
the training and development team,
building out the content and ensuring the
development of our partners aligns with
our business growth goals. We have a
leadership training that we provide twice
a year called 'Lessons in Leadership.' "
What is unique about this program
is that company executives develop
and teach the content and spend the
week sharing their experiences while
curating connections with the most
valuable part of the organization -
its partners.
Over the past year, Schreiber
included more than 250 leaders within
its Frontline Academy, as well as its
diversity and inclusion training.
" We required company leaders to
go through the training over the past
year, " said Nicole Tritt, Schreiber's
director of human resources
(Americas). " This speaks to the
commitment by the organization.
