Spicy shredded cheeses
The shredded cheese department has not seen much activity with
limited-time offerings. Walmart, Bentonville, Ark., is changing that
with its own brand: Great Value. Two recent rollouts are Carolina
Reaper Blend, which is low-moisture part-skim mozzarella and
Monterey Jack cheeses with jalapeno, habanero and Carolina reaper
peppers. There's also the Mac and Cheese Blend, which combines
medium cheddar, gouda and gruyere cheeses. The cheeses are sold in
7 oz bags, while available.
BellaVitano
Plymouth, Wis.-based Sartori Cheese has added flavor-packed
tomato basil to its BellaVitano cheese line. With more than 80 years
of experience in artisan cheesemaking innovation and craftsmanship,
Sartori is always looking for ways to introduce bold takes on
timeless, beloved flavors. Tomato basil balances sweet and nutty
BellaVitano with savory notes, offering an experience that's equal
parts fruity and herbaceous.
Dunkables Lunchables
The Kraft Heinz Co., Chicago, continues to grow its Lunchables brand
with new Dunkables, an interactive snack line designed for kids. Each
variety is made up of a wholesome base ingredient and two toppings,
such as The Mozza Sticks with Marinara & Breadcrumbs. With nearly
50% of Lunchables consumed as a snack, the debut of Dunkables
is the latest example of the brand's commitment and extension into
the snacking category. Earlier in 2023, the brand introduced Grilled
Cheesies, a microwavable grilled cheese concept.
Montchevre Duos
Goat cheese innovation shows no signs of slowing down and
marketers are getting more creative in their offerings. For example,
Saputo USA, Lincolnshire, Ill., has introduced Montchevre Duos. The
two-in-one flavor mashups come in Sweet Hot Peppers + Garlic &
Herbs, and Blueberry + Lemonade. Additionally, Montchevre revealed
a new flavor - Thai Sweet Chili - for its Topped Goat Cheese line.
The company said it is " purposely mischievous " in its innovations
and always looking for those unique flavor profiles and product
combinations that break the norm and stay ahead of trends and
consumer demand.
Quesadilla Shredded Cheese
Americans no longer have to travel south of the border to savor the
authentic flavor of Mexico thanks to new Goya Quesadilla Shredded
Cheese from Goya Foods, Jersey City, NJ. This soft, white creamy
cheese comes in a thick-cut shred to deliver the perfect melt.
