Sabrosura Foods adds queso
maker to portfolio
Sabrosura Foods LLC has acquired Pancho Mexican
Foods, Inc., Memphis, Tenn., a maker of queso dips. Terms
of the transaction were not disclosed.
" A key pillar of Sabrosura Foods' growth strategy
has always been focused on acquiring complementary
product capabilities, " said Jeff Caswell, chief executive
officer of Sabrosura Foods. " We are proud to be able
to continue Pancho's legacy and are eager to introduce
Pancho's queso dip to even more consumers across the
fast-growing snacking category. "
Other brands owned by Sabrosura Foods include El
Viajero, La Morenita, Reynaldo's and Bio Salud. Product
applications include burritos, cheeses, meats, beverages
and desserts.
Whisps introduces new products
Whisps Snacks recently announced the addition of two
new products: Whisps Cheese Crumbs and Whisps
Cheese Crisps & Nuts.
Both the crumbs for cooking, and the crisps and nuts
for snacking feature parmesan and cheddar cheeses made
exclusively for Whisps. And both are promoted as ketofriendly,
low-carb, high-protein options.
The Cheese Crumbs, which are an alternative to
traditional breadcrumbs, are offered in Buffalo and Italian
herb flavors, and made with 14-month aged artisanal
parmesan cheese. Each serving has 13g of protein.
The Cheese Crisps & Nuts are available in Tangy Ranch,
Garlic Herb or Smoky Barbeque flavors. The new snacks
have 8-9g of protein, 3g of net carbs and less than 1g of
sugar per serving. Artisan cheesemakers on family farms
created the cheese used in the crisps exclusively for Whisps.

rolls out Alouette
Gourmet Bites
Adding a new, snackable product to its
offerings, Alouette Cheese rolled out
Gourmet Bites: small balls of its signature,
creamy cheese filled with flavor-packed
centers.
The snackable cheese balls come in
two flavors: Garlic & Herb, based on
Alouette's best-selling spreadable cheese,
and Caramelized Onion, an elevated spin
on a popular snacking flavor. Perfect for
entertaining, the small morsels have less
than 100 calories per serving.
Prior to their US release this year,
Alouette's Gourmet Bites were popular
across Europe, with Caramelized Onion a
favorite among French shoppers.
